MySelfHelp.com Demonstrates Online Self-Help Programs at Academy for Eating Disorders International Conference in Denver

June 2, 2003, Northborough, MA.- MySelfHelp.com presented a workshop on interactive self-help programs at the Academy for Eating Disorders International Conference in Denver on May 29 – 31. The conference, which was held at the Omni Interlocken Resort, was titled “Clinical and Scientific Challenges: The Interface between Eating Disorders and Obesity.”

The workshop was presented by Richard Bedrosian, Ph.D., Associate in Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and president of MySelfHelp.com, and Nanci Pradas, Ph.D., executive vice president of MySelfHelp.com. The workshop focused on interactive self-help programs as adjuncts to treatment for binge eating disorder and related problems. It consisted of three presentations: (1) Using interactive approaches to change treatment goals in binge eating disorder; (2) Creating a safe sense of community for online users of self-help programs; and (3) A “broad-spectrum” interactive online self-help program for depression.
