September 22, 2004 - On November 19, 2004, Dr. Richard Bedrosian,
president and founder of MySelfHelp.com, will chair a symposium, “Using
Computerized Self-help Programs for Clients with Comorbid Problems,” at
the annual convention of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy
in New Orleans,
Louisiana.
Dr. Bedrosian will present a paper entitled "One-stop Shopping: Designing
a family of interactive self-help programs for comorbid problems." The
paper will describe his efforts to develop interactive self-help programs to
support treatment of clients with overlapping disorders, including depression,
binge eating disorder, and bulimia, all approached from a cognitive-behavioral
perspective. Dr. James A. Carter of Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical Center will present a paper titled “Conflict Management
Training via Self-Instructional Multimedia,” which will describe interactive
programs designed to help people improve their interpersonal skills.
