October 21, 2004 - MySelfHelp.com Introduces Online Program for Coping with Grief

October 21, 2004. Northborough, MA. MySelfHelp.com now offers a confidential, online program that provides help, comfort, and support for those struggling with the loss of a loved one. “Coping with Grief”, the latest addition to the MySelfHelp.com family of interactive self-help programs, was developed through a grant from the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institute of Health. The program includes interactive exercises that teach new strategies for coping with the challenges of these difficult times.

The MySelfHelp.com growing family of programs also includes Defeating Depression, Stress Management, Conquer Insomnia, Stop Binge Eating, Take Control of Bulimia, Working on Low Self-Esteem, Overcoming Guilt, and Hope for HIV and Depression. The programs were developed in part through grants from the National Institute of Mental Health.

The Coping with Grief program includes information, exercises, and tools to help individuals:

  • Overcome misconceptions about grief
  • Accept and express their emotions
  • Use support systems more effectively
  • Find positive ways of remembering loved ones
  • Learn strategies for handling difficult days
